About ProBuild
Texas weather is no joke — and neither are we. From surprise hail storms to full replacements, ProBuild protects Houston homes with fast response times and craftsmanship built to last. We show up when we say we will, explain what we find with clear photos, and never push work you don't need.
"We stand behind every job — because your peace of mind matters as much as your roof."
Materials & Manufacturers
The roof over your head is only as good as the system under the shingles — underlayment, ice-and-water barrier, ventilation and flashing. ProBuild isn't tied to a single brand. We source materials through established roofing suppliers, including ABC Supply, and help you compare manufacturers, systems, styles, performance, warranty options and budgets — then install to the manufacturer's specifications so your warranty holds up.
Architectural shingles in a wide range of colors — the most popular choice for Houston homes.
Standing-seam and panel systems that shed heat and hold up to wind.
TPO and modified bitumen membranes for commercial and flat-roof homes.
Clay and concrete tile for standout curb appeal and long service life.
Roofing Questions
Straight answers to the questions homeowners ask us most.
Common signs include missing, lifted or creased shingles, shingle granules collecting in gutters, dents on metal vents, flashing or gutters, and debris on the roof. Hail bruising is often hard to see from the ground, so after a significant storm it is worth having a roofing professional inspect the roof and document any damage with photos. See the hail damage guide.
Most Texas homeowners policies cover sudden damage from wind and hail, subject to your deductible and the terms of your policy. Normal wear, age and lack of maintenance are generally not covered. Under Texas law the deductible is the homeowner's responsibility, and a contractor may not offer to waive or absorb it — be cautious of anyone who does. Read how a Texas roof insurance claim works.
Most residential roof replacements are completed in one to three days, depending on the size and pitch of the roof, the roofing material, the condition of the decking underneath, and the weather.
At least once a year, and after any significant hail, wind or tropical storm. Houston's heat, humidity and Gulf storm seasons put more stress on roofing materials than milder climates, so regular inspections help catch small problems before they become leaks.
It depends on the age of the roof, the type and extent of the damage, and the material. Localized damage on a roof with plenty of service life left is usually a repair. Widespread damage, repeated leaks or a roof near the end of its expected lifespan often make replacement the more cost-effective choice. An inspection with photos is the best way to decide — see our repair-or-replace guide.
